2022 Spring Recital!
Welcome to our Spring Recital of 2022! The flowers are budding and blooming and so are our students! From the youngest Sunbeam to the oldest Grade 8 Piano and Exam student, the music cascades from each home to your screen for all to enjoy! The theme for this year’s recital is “See Me Beautiful.” Just as you tend to your garden with much time and care, we nurture our children to see them grow and flourish. And grow and flourish they did! Congratulations to every one of my amazing students! I am very proud of all the work that each child has accomplished this year! From composing to transposing and from theory to theatrics, we’ve done it all! It is heart-warming to see each student pick their recital piece and work with great diligence in order to share it with you. Some outstanding achievements to take note are: Dominic Grenier and Jadyn Hiebert both achieved First Class Honours with Distinction in their Royal Conservatory of Music exams! Congratulations! Donavin Rieder practiced every noon hour in the band room, participated in his school talent show and won the hearts of the audience by leaps and bounds! Congratulations! And please take note of the amazing performance of Moonlight Sonata by Travis Singbeil at the end of the program! Truly a work of art! Congratulations! We were delighted to sing a few songs from the movie “Encanto” this spring. The music is captivating and the story is inspiring. The students were thrilled to be singing from one of the best-loved films of the year! A big thanks to all of you who made this Spring Recital possible! I’m very grateful that I can be a part of tending to the panoramic garden of music, songs and laughter! You are all so beautiful! Hugs to you all! I would like to share one of my favourite quotes of all time: “The way you see people is the way you treat them, and the way you treat them is what they become.” – Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe And now please enjoy our show “See Me Beautiful!” -Terri Myers |
